This is Ron he is a 69 year old homeless man that lives down the street from me. I get to see him every day on my morning run and he's always so pleasant and positive with huge smile on his face. 

Last week I was going to my car and I found him in the alley severely sick. I got him some water, food and asked him if I could take him to the hospital. He said no he would be ok. I knew something wasn't right and kept checking on him very 2 hours. I could hear him from my house in so much pain. 

For 3 days I watched people walk right by him saying nothing. I begged him to please let me take him to the hospital. I called the paramedics but he refused to go and they left. Finally last Friday he agreed to let me take him in. And thankfully I did because he was very sick. His small intestines some how got twisted up. The doctors said he may not have made it another day or two.

The reason I am trying to raise money for him is he didn't want to go to the hospital because he did not want his stuff to get stolen. I didn't even think of that! He may not have much but he has pride even with his circumstances.  There is no tent but he keeps his area tidy and clean (as clean as you can be living on the streets). This is his home :(



It's sad he almost lost his life because he can't leave his home for to long or everything would be gone. He doesn't ask anyone around here for money or anything. He just listens to his blues music as he sits in his office chair and draws (he's pretty talented at that).

I have been keeping an eye on his stuff as much as I can, but people are starting to take things. :( Im trying to raise money to help him replace stuff, his medical bills and just maybe when he gets out of the hospital he would want to try and get off the streets.
