Joe was rescued from a horrific  situation last summer.   He was found emaciated with a tether wrapped tightly around his left front leg.  Animal control suspected he lived that way for months before being brought in to a shelter outside of Dallas Texas.   The vets said his leg was too far gone to  to try and save, thus amputating it at the shoulder.   It breaks my heart to know this sweet innocent dog has spent his entire life tied up, abused, and starved.  For the past 9 months he has been in the care of some wonderful people that have helped him through the surgery and pain staking steps to make him healthy.    He's now looking for his forever home and I want it to be with me.  I have spoken with the good folks that are fostering him and after several interviews they feel Joe would be a perfect fit for my family.  I will need to fly to Dallas and rent a car to drive him back out to California (flying Joe back is not an option due to his previous health conditions)  Thank you so much for reading Joe's story and I looking forward to sharing his "Happily Ever After" with you when I get him home.
