Locals Seafood is raising money to send supplies Down East, ASAP!
Down East North Carolina has been hit hard by Hurricane Florence. Folks are in immediate need of everyday supplies, as well as supplies for clearing trees and cleaning up.
100% of the funds collected here will be used to purchase these supplies. We will withdraw the funds on Wednesday and go shopping for items needed right now - gas cans, livestock feed, tarps, rakes, canned food, and more.
Locals Seafood will cover delivery costs, using our trucks to deliver the supplies this week. We will be delivering these items to a fire department in eastern Carteret County. The fire department will then distribute the items for free to members of the community.
We will update this page when we know which fire department we're delivering to.
There are plenty of opportunities for long-term giving, and more will be announced as the recovery process begins, but this is an opportunity to help folks immediately and directly.
Locals Seafood works directly with suppliers, oyster farmers, and fish houses in the Down East region. We are working closely with our coastal contacts to coordinate this effort.
