Carmel Garcia was a faithful and submissive wife, nurturing mother, caring grandmother, loving sister, and a kind friend to many. On Dec 4th at 3:20AM, after a hard fight against COVID, she breathed her last breath and entered into the presence of her Lord.
Carmel was never one to seek the spotlight nor did she like to draw attention to herself. Her presence was known by her meek and gentle spirit and the calming peace she brought to any situation. Many knew her as a quiet, soft spoken woman. But we all know that when she spoke, her words would be small gems to hold on to. Her wisdom and discernment helped guide and counsel many through trying times. Her calm and gentle spirit brought a peace and comfort to those who were hurting. Her contagious smile could bring joy to all.
We do not understand the Lord's timing or the way in which she was taken from this world, but as Proverbs 3:5-6 says, we do not lean on our own understanding. Rather, in all our ways, we acknowledge the Lord so that He may direct our paths. The family is in the process of planning her funeral service. Many have reached out through texts, calls, or social media and have asked how they can help. With Carmel and Lupe not having medical insurance, the greatest needs in the moment and near future are financial. There are many expenses for medical bills, funeral, travel for Carmel's family, and bills for Lupe. We have set up this GoFund Me as a way for those who would like to give.
