Raise money for The Little Princess Trust
UPDATE: I've cut my hair and ended up donating 16 inches! This was the first time in 33 years I've ever had my hair properly cut; I've only ever had it trimmed.
Anyone who knows me, knows I've had long hair, right down my back, since I was a little girl! My hair is a huge part of who I am and my identity. As many of you also know, I am deaf and in BSL, rather than spelling my name ‘Charlotte’, my sign name is iconic to me and symbolises my long hair.
I've decided to donate 12 inches of my hair to The Little Princess Trust and hopefully raise at least £700 in the process too. This is the average cost to provide one wig to a child or young person who has lost their hair to cancer.
Last year my beautiful niece, Ivy, was given a wig from The Little Princess Trust after she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and lost her hair during treatment.
I am now donating my hair in Ivy's memory and I hope that it gives another child the confidence and happiness that it gave to Ivy.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Every donation will help.
