We are creating this GoFundMe in honor of Mayra Mendoza and her family. Mayra passed away on Friday, Oct 19th after struggling with diabetes. In September, she went into cardiac arrest and was on life support for over a month. Her family is devastated, having lost their father to Covid three years ago. They need support covering funeral and cemetery expenses. Mayra leaves behind a 13 year old son, and her mother, Maria, brother, Eduardo and sister Andrea Mendoza.

Andrea has taken on the task of organizing and paying for the funeral services. Andrea has worked as an instructional assistant for 16 years, and has been at Hoover for the last 5 years working with Ms Nally’s special education students. She is beloved by all Hoover students as she runs the PBIS Husky Mart, rewarding students for their positive behavior and hard work.

These monies will directly support the cost of the services and cemetery costs.

Estamos creando este GoFundMe en honor de Mayra Mendoza y su familia. Mayra falleció el viernes 19 de octubre después de luchar contra la diabetes. En septiembre, sufrió un paro cardíaco y estuvo con respiración asistida durante más de un mes. Su familia está desolada, ya que perdió a su padre a causa de Covid hace tres años. Necesitan ayuda para cubrir los gastos del funeral y el cementerio. Mayra deja un hijo de 13 años, su madre, María, su hermano Eduardo y su hermana Andrea Mendoza.
