Hello everyone,

This is Rita, a sweet and loyal 5-year-old dog we rescued from the streets. From the moment she joined our family, she has been an incredible source of emotional support, giving us nothing but love and loyalty.

Recently, we received devastating news: Rita has a large mass on her front left leg that, after a biopsy, was diagnosed as soft tissue sarcoma. While this type of cancer is considered non-aggressive if treated quickly, the mass is too large to remove without risk. The veterinarians recommend amputating her leg to prevent the cancer from spreading.

This surgery is urgent and costly, and covering the expense on such short notice is beyond our means, even with credit. We’re reaching out to our community for support in helping us raise the funds needed for Rita’s surgery and recovery. Any contribution, big or small, truly makes a difference.

To help, we’re also hosting a benefit concert October 3rd with our band, The Cires, at The Bistro in downtown Hayward from 8–11pm. We’d love for you to join us for an evening of live music and community support for Rita.
