The 11-year-old son of a South Carolina State Guard soldier has been at the MUSC Children's Hospital battling a heart condition as well as leukemia. The doctors recently halted treatment in hopes of doing surgery; however, his son took a turn for the worse, and the soldier and his wife were advised to begin making funeral preparations.
While his wife has been fortunate enough to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, he has been commuting from the Myrtle Beach area to Charleston to visit his son and wife on his days off work. The extensive medical bills and travel have depleted their savings and caused great financial difficulties. Please help support this soldier, who is also a Marine Corps and Navy veteran, and his family during this difficult time.
