Fighting the good fight

My name is Jordan St. Germaine. I am a father of four and a husband of 13 years. I try to never ask for help, but this time my back is against the wall. I am in college, and I work full-time as a teacher and Athletic Director. I have dedicated my life to kids. These last five to ten years, my family and I have been through so much loss. I lost my grandmother in 2016, my mother in 2022, and my sister in 2023. I never got to have closure in any of these passings due to my immigration and other circumstances that made me stay home. Right now, I am asking friends and family to please help me and my family go see my Papa, who is currently in the hospital. Things are not looking the greatest, but if there is anything that God has taught me throughout these passings, it is that staying calm and asking God to lead my decisions will result in the desires of my heart. My Papa never got to meet my youngest children, and this may be the only time to make this happen. I hope to bring my family with me in this time of need, but due to life being life, I have to ask for help. I know a lot of us are going through a lot; I only ask for help from those who feel they can help. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I pray I get to see him soon. My Papa helped shape me into the man I am today. I serve kids and my community for a living, and I am blessed to be where I am today by his teachings. I hope to come home and show him the fruit of his labor.
