Manny's Surgery!

18 years ago, Manuel had brain surgery because of fluid build-up in his brain. Since then, he has been working nonstop, 24/7, at a meat packing company in the morning and the Boynton Restaurant in the afternoon into the night. Everyone in this community knows his smiling face and kindness as he parks cars all night for the busy restaurant. A recent fall has brought to light the need for  another surgery to repair a broken shunt from his previous surgery. He has been out of work for most of this past week and will need to pay hospital and surgery expenses within the month. My name is Andrea Cruz and Manuel is not only a dear friend, but also a mentor and father figure to me for over 15 years. We are also neighbors. I would like to raise some funds to help alleviate the financial burden of another brain surgery, as well as recovery time. As previously stated, Manuel is like a father to me and it means the world to me to be able to help him even just a little bit. I will personally be taking care of the funds from this page. As they are withdrawn to my account, I will provide Manuel with the money as well as a receipt for the amount. I have also been sharing daily financial updates with him, as well as the beautiful comments! He will receive every last penny and he thanks you all whole heatedly for your support!
