Hi, my name is Sandra I am 30 years old and I got into a motorcycle accident on September 17th. I was going the speed limit, I had the right way, and a woman pulled out in front of me trying to get to the median. I hit her driver side front tire at about 40 to 45 mph. I flew over her car and landed and slid. I was awake through the whole thing. I shattered my right ankle and broke my right tibia. My left ACL was tore and I broke a bone in my left knee. My right wrist was shattered and I have a couple of bones broken in my hand, my left elbow was dislocated. Ligaments were torn and a bone is broken. I can’t walk and I can’t use my arms for anything. I have fallen through all of the medical cracks for my insurance to cover what I need. I have a lot more cost than what I’m asking for but honestly anything helps. I’m going to need someone to care for me while my husband is at work. The doctors estimate about three months before I can even start rehabilitation therapy. I still have another surgery on my right leg and my left leg. My insurance does not cover in-home care and my insurance won’t cover the rehabilitation therapy. I used to work three jobs, two of which required very detailed work with my hands and sadly I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to do that again. The doctor also mentioned that I may never have full function of my right hand or my right leg due to bones being shattered and broken in the manner that they were.
Saturday September 13th I traded my motorcycle in for a brand new motorcycle. Wednesday, September 17th is when my accident happened. I hadn’t even had 100 miles on that bike so if their insurance doesn’t total my motorcycle out then I’ll also be responsible for making payments on a motorcycle that I’ll never be able to ride. If there’s anything you can spare to help me, it would be greatly greatly appreciated! My husband is doing everything he can to help me by caring for me, but there’s only so much that he can do alone and I don’t have any other family that will help me.

Tengo mucho más costo de lo que estoy pidiendo, pero honestamente cualquier cosa ayuda. Voy a necesitar que alguien me cuide mientras mi marido está en el trabajo. Los médicos estiman unos tres meses antes de que pueda comenzar la terapia de rehabilitación. Todavía tengo otra cirugía en mi pierna derecha y en mi pierna izquierda. Mi seguro no cubre la atención domiciliaria y mi seguro no cubrirá la terapia de rehabilitación. Solía trabajar en tres trabajos, dos de los cuales requerían un trabajo muy detallado con mis manos y, lamentablemente, no estoy seguro de si alguna vez podré hacerlo de nuevo. El médico también mencionó que es posible que nunca tenga la función completa de mi mano derecha o mi pierna derecha debido a que los huesos están destrozados y rotos de la manera en que estaban.
El sábado 13 de septiembre cambié mi motocicleta por una nueva. El miércoles 17 de septiembre es cuando ocurrió mi accidente. Ni siquiera había tenido 100 millas en esa moto, así que si su seguro no cubre mi motocicleta, entonces también seré responsable de hacer los pagos en una motocicleta que nunca podré conducir. Si hay algo que puedas ahorrar para ayudarme, ¡te lo agradecería mucho! Mi marido está haciendo todo lo posible para ayudarme cuidándome, pero solo hay mucho que pueda hacer solo y no tengo ninguna otra familia que me ayude.
