Mikie was a 63 year old high functioning special needs kid with a heart of gold! He worked at California Barber & Styling as our customer relations manager, chief janitorial extraordinaire, human resources manager, and also the shop phone operator! He was highly infatuated with the Armed Forces, Police Officers, and EMT's. On Tuesday November 10th 2015 Mikie was experiencing abdominal pain when he suddenly collapsed. He was rushed to the ER where they immediately diagnosed him with an inoperable ruptured Aorta, and was paralyzed from the waist down. After fighting his condition for 34 long hours while his family and friends all stood by his side he passed away at 7:12am November 12th 2015. Mikie has always been known to help out anybody in need and continues to help by donating his organs to help people even after his passing. Mikie is survived by his mother (Elaina), father (Ed), sister (Percilla) as well as hundreds of friends and family in the South Bay including but not limited to Hermosa Beach Police Department, Torrance Police Department, Redondo Beach Police Department, and Torrance Fire Department. All donations will go directly to his family to help with medical expenses, funeral costs, and day to day living expenses as they live on a very fixed income.
