Dan’s Top Surgery fund

If you don’t know me already, I’m Dan - I’m trans and I am so excited to announce that I have my top surgery booked in for June!

I am asking my community to help me in raising funds to cover the cost of the surgery.

I’m currently living in Germany, and have found a surgeon I feel extremely comfortable seeing in Hamburg, close to where I live (Berlin) where I can recover. After navigating the German healthcare system for a year and a half with no luck, I have been left with the option to cover the cost myself. Work is quite unstable right now, so any help is really appreciated!

The choice to have the surgery done in Germany means I do not have to start the process all over again in Australia or elsewhere. The impact that this will have on my mental health and quality of life is indescribable, and something I have been working towards for years now.

The cost of the surgery is (9,865.23€ = 15,980.27 AUD) which I’m seeking assistance in raising the funds. I am planning on having enough savings for my recovery, where I’m unable to work for 6-8 weeks.
