Leaping in for Lara and North West Hospice

Help us to help Lara and North West Hospice

Pulaheeney swimming group and their little followers are leaping into the sea next Saturday to raise funds for two very worthy charities. Some of the Easkey/Rathlee children will take part in a 2km relay swim event from Pulaheeney pier. The bigger swimmers aim to swim a longer distance.

North West Hospice has always been supported by the swimmers in the locality and this year the swimmers would like to offer support to their local friend.

Lara Potter is a twelve-year-old girl from the area who has just been diagnosed with leukaemia and has started chemotherapy this week. Herself and her mum would benefit from any financial assistance toward her treatment journey ahead in Crumlin Children's Hospital.

6 swimmers have already completed an epic 10km swim in lieu of the lough Gill 10km swim that normally takes place for the North West Hospice.

Congratulations to Fiona Burke, Laura Coleman, Lorraine Wilson, Mairead Foody, Gerry Gannon & Rory Tuohy for taking on and smashing this fantastic challenge.

All proceeds donated to this page will be divided between both of these worthy charities.

All donations will be very much appreciated.
