Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because my dog, Jax, needs a surgery called TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) to repair a torn ligament in his hind leg. It’s similar to an ACL tear in humans, and without this surgery, Jax will continue to struggle with pain and won’t be able to run, play, or even walk comfortably.
Jax is only 1 year and 9 months old, still very much a puppy with endless energy and love for life. I’ve had him just over a year now, and he means everything to me. It breaks my heart to see him sidelined by an injury at such a young age, when he should be chasing balls and enjoying all the puppy adventures he deserves.
The good news is that TPLO surgery has a high success rate, and most dogs recover to 90% or better of their normal activity. With this surgery, Jax will have the chance to live a full, happy, pain-free life.
Unfortunately, the cost is more than I can manage on my own. Here’s the breakdown:
• Consultation: $250
• TPLO Surgery Base Charge: $4,450–$5,450 (depending on whether additional ligament work is needed during the procedure)
• Post-Surgery Care & Recovery Support: $1,500 (second crate, physical therapy, medications, and recovery supplies)
That brings the total estimate to $6,200–$7,200.
This has already been a tough time financially, and I can’t do this alone. That’s why I’m asking for your help, whether it’s through a donation, sharing this page, or simply keeping Jax in your prayers. Every bit of support makes a difference and helps me worry less about the cost and more about getting him through recovery.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness and for helping give Jax the chance at the happy, active life he deserves.
With gratitude,
Jax & Bobby
