Hello friends! Many of you already know the story of little Francis. She was wandering the street and walked into the path of my oncoming car. By some miracle, she was not killed when my car hit her. She suffered only a concussion, which she is slowly healing from.
However, the story of little Francis is not over. She’s going to the vet on Monday for a full exam. The emergency vet noted she has alopecia which explains her missing fur. She also has a heart murmur, something I’m told is common in chihuahuas.
Francis is old, malnourished, and in need of a lot of love. Donations will go to her medical expenses along with a few supplies we need to get her on the road to health and happiness. She’s a senior dog who by the looks of it as had a rough go in the last few years. It would be such a wonderful thing to help her in the golden years of her life. After her medical expenses are taken care of, any remaining money will be donated to ABC Clinic.
As many of you know, ABC Clinic offers low-cost spay and neuter procedures along with other services. Their work really helps make a dent in the stray animal problem of Waco. Every pet deserves a loving home and the work done by ABC helps ensure that goal.
With our country almost literally on fire, we allneed a good story to share. Francis is a miracle! We should share her story with others as a reminder that there is still hope and light in the world, even in our scariest times. She is the dog who lived!
