Just two weeks ago, our family got some heartbreaking news. Our beautiful niece & Goddaughter, Carly, 27, was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer. Her test results indicate lesions in the liver & possibly lymph nodes. Months of chemotherapy, liver resection surgery, and radiation are indicated treatments. She is deciding between treatment in Denver where she lives, or coming to MSK in New York. Either way, she will have to take a leave from her job as a new Special Ed Director, a job she started only 2 months ago and suffer loss of income. Fertility Oncologists recommend that she harvest and freeze her eggs, which insurance does not cover. Please consider helping her concentrate on healing and not on medical bills and living expenses.
