My husband has a 6 inch tumor next to his spine. The pain is too much for him to work currently and he is the bread winner in our family. He is supposed to have a surgery in June to remove the tumor. They have to go through his chest, cut his ribs open, and move his lungs over just to get to the tumor on his back. It's a two day surgery with a 1 in 100 chance of him ending up paralyzed or worse. Due to all of this, he has taken leave from work and his disability pay won't start for a couple more weeks. I don't like asking for help and his pride usually stops him but we have several trips to UAB in our future and our 2001 vehicle is on its last leg. Anything helps...even if it's just a meal. Most of all please just pray that he comes out of this surgery happy, healthy, and free of the horrible pain he is currently experiencing.
