Dave Moffitt, Lightweight TT racer from Douglas, Isle of Man crashed during the practice session on Tuesday 31st May 2022 at Laurel Bank. He sustained extensive injuries leaving him in an induced coma. He received medical assistance at the roadside where he crashed and was airlifted to Nobles Hospital where he was treated and received an emergency operation to remove his spleen and realign broken bones. Dave was then admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in Nobles and transferred the morning after his crash to Critical Care Unit at Aintree Hospital.

The day after arrival at Aintree, Dave was taken to surgery to have rods and pins placed in his leg. He is due to have more surgery and is yet to be woken from the induced coma. He remains critical.

Due to the extent of the injuries that he sustained, he is going to be in hospital for a long time in the UK. I know that Dave's immediate family will be travelling to and from Liverpool.

The Moffitts are very proud people and don't ask anybody for anything but I know I'm not alone when I say that Dave is always first to offer help to anybody when needed and I'd like to help the family out.
