This is a page set up for our much loved friend Chloe, in order to help her and her family on her cancer journey.
Late on Christmas Eve 2022 Chloe went into A&E with intense upper abdominal pain. She’d experienced similar pain in October which had been dismissed by doctors as constipation, but this time, following more in-depth investigation, she was given the earth shattering news that she in fact has cancer. Devastating to hear at any time, but all alone at 4am on Christmas Day takes some beating.
Since then she has been diagnosed with liver, bowel and peritoneal cancer. A heavy diagnosis but Chloe has chosen not to discuss any stages or prognosis and is instead choosing to focus all her energy into positivity, living, and fighting this disease with everything she has. She hopes to begin chemo soon, once she has recovered from an operation for which she is currently in hospital; recovering well and in good spirits. She has no intention of going anywhere soon.
Anyone who knows Chloe has likely been helped by her in some way or another. She makes a million friends wherever she goes and she truly loves people, loves connecting, hearing your stories, genuinely listening and doing all she can to help in any way.
I’ve set up this page with her (awkward and humble) permission because I know that there are a large number of people that love Chloe and would wish to help support her and her partner Doug, and their children Connie and Ben on this difficult journey. The aim of this page is to provide a space for people to send their support and encouragement to Chloe, a place for updates to be shared, and a place for any donations to be made; all of which will go towards easing this extremely difficult time for them.
The money raised will go towards fighting Chloe’s cancer with any expenses incurred, complementary treatments and therapies, cancer-fighting diet and supplements, and just towards making life easier at home in any way. I understand that this is a difficult time financially for many people, so please don’t feel obliged to donate. Any messages of support are gratefully received and also the help of her local friends with things like childcare, gifts and visits has been hugely appreciated.
Chloe would like to express how utterly blessed she feels to have had so many people on her team, supporting and believing in her crazy positive attitude even though she has been told that chemo may not work.
Thank you for reading and for all the support that Chloe has already been given. It really means a lot.
In addition, Chloe has kindly asked that any contact with Connie remains light and positive in order to help her process this in the best possible way. Thank you x
