Help Marcel (aka DJ Molex) Fight Cancer

My name is Melanie and I’m fundraising for my Fiancé’s brother Marcel. He recently and unexpectedly received a diagnosis of advanced stage Squamous Cell Cancer.

This type of skin cancer is best treated in Halifax’s QEII Hospital Science Center for Cancer treatment and research. At this point the Surgeon was not able to determine how far this cancer has spread, this will be determined to a large degree during surgery. It is also not known if this has spread beyond his oral cavity to his jaw, head and lungs.

Marcel LeBlanc from Moncton, NB is known in his industry as DJ Molex. He is self-employed in a career already devastated by Covid. He will be hospitalized in Halifax for a few weeks following this invasive surgery. This is a life altering surgery that will be followed with many months of treatments and therapy. Marcel will be unable to continue working for the foreseeable future.

The last thing I want is for Marcel and his family to have to worry about the cost of his financial obligations such as rent, electricity, travel back and forth to his oncologist at the QEII in Halifax also cost of medications and other medical expenses he may require. His parents Daniel and Diane LeBlanc from Memramcook, NB will be accompanying him throughout this Journey so I’ve started this GO FUND ME page. Any amount big or small will make a huge difference and will be greatly appreciated.

Any amount beyond what is required for Marcel’s care and rehabilitation will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society and QEII Hospital Foundation.
