Billbo’s surgery

Hi, my name is Savannah and this is my dog, Billbo Baggins. For those of you that don’t know me, I have Asperger’s syndrome and struggle with social situations. Because of this, I have never really made a lot of friends outside of my family. About six years ago, my mom found this little dog being dumped at a truck stop and she brought him home. Long story short, he decided I was his person. Through him, I have learned so much about bonding, responsibility in caring for another life, and unconditional love. This little dog is such an important part of my life!
The help I need..
Recently, Bill was diagnosed with diabetes. It scared me really bad at the time, but after many visits trying to get his insulin regulated, we finally got him to the right dose to keep him healthy. I have stepped outside of my comfort zone to learn to do his injections and he is doing much better. But now, because of the diabetes, he is going blind. It started very quickly, and the vet today said he can only see light and dark now. He is still a young dog, so an operation to remove his cataracts will save his sight. I will be putting away every extra cent that I earn from my job to pay for it, but I could sure use some help. Because his eyesight is going so fast, he is scared. If you can help me even a little, it would be appreciated more than I can even explain. He is my closest friend and I love him more than life.
