Michael was born Aug 27, 1996 and was cut as a button. He was tiny, weighing 6lbs and just barely. He was a very happy child, not crying for much. He loved the sun and being an early morning riser. If the sun was up, he was up.
We moved to Canada before Michael was 1yr old. It was a chance at a better life than his parents grew up in around Southern California. Michael's name was chosen to honour a miracle his mother had received from Arch-Angelo Micheal. The angel once brought Anita cat food when they had no money. In honour of the miracle, his mom promised to name a son Michael if she had one.
Micheal loved sports - having started playing LaCrosse when he was 6 years old. He played defense at AA level till he was 14. He stopped to play football his first year in high school. His mother loved football being from the USA and the deal with she would come to all his games if he played. He did so well he won an outstanding achievement award for football the end of that season. By 17 he was going through his rebellious stage and had made some unwise choices that ended him out on his own. But no matter, he picked himself up, got working again, got a place to live and by 23 he was a Kitchen Manager at Tony Roma's. He was affectionately known as the "right hand Kid". Michael loved to cook food for others and would refer back to his mom saying that a great way to show people love is to cook a great meal for them. He was so proud when a table would ask to meet the chief or manager. He loved to hear how good the food was or the service was. When his mom would come into the restaurants, only he would prep a special meal for her and then sit with her so everyone could see "this is my mom".

He had one serious relationship and was pretty broken hearted about it. But he was starting to come around again and had been dating a bit. Michael was not a perfect person, but the most common thing friends said about him was that he always though about others first and helping his friends whenever he could. If he had it to loan you, and you needed it, he would give it. He was just starting to mature to a brilliant, handsome 28-year-old when he was taken from us. There is no doubt that he would have grown into a great man and human being.
It is with deep sadness that we share the heartbreaking loss of Michael, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who was tragically taken from us at just 28 years old in a sudden accident.

As his family and friends grieve this unimaginable loss, we are coming together to support them during this difficult time. Donations will be used to cover funeral expenses and alleviate the financial burden as they navigate the days ahead.

If you are able, please consider donating in honor of Michael. Your generosity, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, will help his family focus on healing while remembering the incredible life he lived.

Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
