Janet Small is a mother of two amazing young women Devyn & Dakota and is loved by many.
Janet is a member of the Ontario Provincial Police with 29 years of service and is cherished by her family in blue.
Janet was diagnosed with Glioblastoma stage IV cancer in July 2020. Glioblastoma is an aggressive & malignant type of cancer. https://braintumorcenter.ucsf.edu/condition/glioblastoma-grade-iv
The prognosis Janet was provided in August 2020 was 15 months with aggressive treatment. Janet has been at war since her diagnosis, undergoing 2 craniotomy’s, 40 rounds of radiation and many months of chemotherapy. Janet has celebrated many triumphs over the past year and her friends and family have admired her courageous fight for life. Janet has not laid down her sword; however, she will be forging on through to the toughest part of her journey leading her fearless battalion with Devyn and Dakota arm in arm. Janet is no longer receiving oncology or radiology treatments and is working with a palliative care team.
