Top Surgery

I've spent 36 years trying to figure out why I feel uncomfortable in my own skin. After therapy and some self reflecting I've come to realize that I am trans. I contacted insurance and was told my surgery was covered, and then when I was following up about hormones I was told I was misinformed and that due to trans protection right taken away it is no longer deemed a medical necessity and is no longer covered. I was so excited to embark on this journey and felt like it was ripped away. I appreciate any help I can get to make my dreams come true. Thank you in advance.
