Everything started off with a visit to urgent care and him being diagnosed with pneumonia. One day he fainted while getting ready for work and that led to going to the ER. All they did was give him some saline and suggested us doing a follow up with the primary doctor. Primary doctor had order labs and stool test to check all possibilities which all came out normal. Colonoscopy appointment was made but it was a month out until he can be seen. During all these testing Sambo has been off work without pay.
After colonoscopy procedure, she had told us from her experience it looks like we could be facing colon cancer but she had taken some biopsy to have pathologist confirm her suspicion. A week later the GI doctor had reached out to us to confirm it was colon cancer. After having a consultation with the surgeon it seems as if we were seeing light at the end of a dark tunnel roller coaster. As we thought this would be the end of this journey but the surgeon had finished surgery earlier for many reasons and it was not great. Not only did they found lesions around the small intestine and had to cancel the colon removal. They had to also install a colostomy bag to his side.
With all this finding he is now considered a stage 4 cancer patient. Starting Friday August 2, he has to go through 12 cycles of chemo treatments and from there he would have to do the whole CT scans again to see if chemo helped.
This all happened in a 3 month time frame and during those dark times he was not able to provide for his wife and two children. His wife became a sole provider for a family of 4 with all the bills. All donations will go into Sambo’s account for his treatment, recovery, and bills.
We appreciate all the help that we can get. Everything counts even if it's a small donations. Thank you in advance and we truly appreciate all prayers and any help.
