World Scout Jamboree South Korea 2023

Hi my name is Nate and I have been lucky enough to be selected as part of UNIT 32, representing Greater London North East Scouts, heading to the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea 2023.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join 40,000 scouts from around the WORLD and celebrate Scouting in the most unique and amazing way. Over nearly 3 weeks of adventure, I will get to experience first hand the world in an entirely different way, making new friendships from not only the Unit I will be travelling with and all the other UK units too - but friends from all of the different countries that will be joining there. It's completely mind blowing.

Between now and May 2023 I need to actively fundraise the cost of approximately £3800 to cover everything from my travel through to Unit operations costs and preparation events. I then need to raise separately money towards any health preparations including vaccinations which are extremely costly but advised. So should I exceed the Unit target at any point, anything that falls just over this will be put towards measures directly relating to safe travel for this trip. Should this then be met I will update here that ‘active fundraising’ has now been completed.
