Hi Everyone; I'm coaching a youth running team on Standing Rock and looking to buy the group some necessary running gear.
In order to specify and personalize an excellent training program for each of the six boys on the team, I would like for them to have basic sports watches since they are not allowed to run with cellphones and since we are charting our own running routes, where most trails are not marked or premeasured. Sports watches, with stopwatches and countdown timers displaying seconds that allow laps and split measurements, would allow my runners to learn to gauge their own pace and incrementally improve their running in terms of time!
Fortunately, we were already able to buy them new quality running shoes. But, I'd also like them to have a couple of pairs of wool running socks, suitable for running in warm and cold weather; knit hats and ear warmer headbands to be worn alone or underneath the knit stocking come winter weather in the Dakotas. Yet, a multipurpose sweat/cooling-towel would be great for each runner while heat waves persist. And, gym bags can make all the difference in terms of being prepared, getting out the door, ready and on time to race meets. Finally, I'd love to supply them with healthier on-the-go pre- and post-race snacks.
I am thrilled to guide and support these boys in their healthy, athletic and positive ambitions; it's a blast. Proper training equipment and athletic attire would further assist these amazing young runners to run!
The picture of thorny running shoes is a testament to their adventures, wherewithal - and to make y'all smile!
