On November 17, 2025, we lost a cherished member of our community. Michael McDonough fought a courageous and often quiet battle with cancer, always with strength and never with complaint. Even though he had been facing this illness for some time, his passing was sudden and unexpected. Mike leaves behind his best friend, business ally, and beloved wife, Monica, along with their six children: Michael, Maddie, Megan, Matt, Mark, and Melanie. They are now faced with navigating a heartbreaking new reality without their incredible husband and father.

Mike was the warmhearted and generous owner of It’s 2 Cool, the beloved event venue in Canton, MA. But his kindness extended far beyond the walls of his party center. Whenever there was an opportunity to bring joy to others, whether setting up an inflatable at a neighborhood event, a school function, a community gathering, or even in his own backyard, Mike never hesitated. His greatest reward was seeing the pure happiness on the faces of the people around him. He gave freely, and all he ever wanted in return was a smile.

To know Mike was to love him. He was truly one of a kind, the type of friend you’re lucky to have once in a lifetime.

Since his passing, the outpouring of love and support for Monica and the kids has been overwhelming.
