Hello friends,

Today I want to share the story of a truly extraordinary soul — a warrior named Leslie. She’s 85 years old, full of grit and grace, and has spent her life rescuing the voiceless — the forgotten, the abused, the unwanted. From “unadoptable” dogs to blind cats and hospice animals, Leslie has opened her heart and home to those the world had given up on.

She never turned away a life in need. Not once.

But now, Leslie needs us.

This incredible woman has battled liver cancer three times — and won. But the cancer has returned for round four. And still, she refuses to give up. She says, “I can’t stop fighting. My babies need me.” Her babies are her animals — her family. She also broke her hip and struggled through the pain to take care of her animals.

Despite the pain and the treatments, Leslie continues to care for dozens of animals. But the burden is getting heavier. Her fixed income can no longer cover the mounting costs of medical tests and daily pet care. Next week she is scheduled for a CAT scan and MRI which will cost her $600 alone , this sweet senior is in a panic about how to pay for these life-saving tests she needs to get her surgery in June.

She’s too proud to ask for help. So I’m asking for her.

Even the smallest gift will bring comfort and relief to a woman who’s spent her life easing the suffering of animals where many felt love for the first time.

We can’t carry Leslie’s cross, but as a village, we can lighten her load. We can show her that she’s not alone — that love comes full circle. She has enough to stress about without worrying about paying for her medical bills too!

Please help me wrap this brave, beautiful soul in the same love and care she’s given so many. She is a living saint, and she deserves all the compassion this world can give.
