My name is Stephanie and my Mummy (Melanie) are in need of some financial help for ongoing medical issues

Sometimes life just keeps throwing crap your way. Just when I was getting back on track after 2 operations last year on my right leg and then this year first operationon left knee including nerve ablation. . It is also first operation on left knee since being injured in 2017.

I started this Gofundme last year with the name being Medical Madness. The name was definitely the right choice as now my Mummy's health journey has taken an interesting turn. This year will be her 6 year post bowel cancer surgery and also cancer free but wait for it.... Mummy has been having strange headaches and dizzy spells so I convinced her to have an MRI. Her first MRI ever and she did really well. There were some interesting findings and an explanation for her symptoms. Mummy has mild microvascular ischemic disease. Unfortunately this may lead to dementia or even a stroke. She had her 24 hour holder monitor and discovered that her

heart flutters.

Now we are 2 patients with no nurse ... of course we cried but we are also laughing.

May 2026 has been rough. I went to ED for chest pain while in the gym and before being discharged I went into atrial fibrillation. It seems to be a common thing but unfortunately due to my very very low heart rate it is not easy to treat. I have tried medication but that is not work so next step is cardiac ablation. Even that only has a 60% chance of helping. There a many risks associated with this procedure stroke, clots and of course death. It is still a procedure on my heart byt nothing is really guaranteed.
