Hi, my name is Mahmoud Adnan, and I’m reaching out to you in a moment of deep desperation. I'm 32 years old and a father from Gaza. My beautiful wife, Bayan Muhammad (30), and our two little ones, Imad (4) and Fatima (6), have been forced to flee our home and are now living in a camp in Khan Yunis.

Not long ago, we had a simple but happy life. I worked with my brother making aluminum windows and doors. We were content, living a peaceful life with dreams for our future. But everything changed when bombs fell from the sky, destroying our home in an instant. We managed to escape in our car, grateful to be alive, but we lost everything—our home, our belongings, our sense of security.

After fleeing to Rafah, we faced hopelessness. There was no food, no clean water, and every day was a struggle just to survive. After six grueling months there, we were taken to the refugee camps in Khan Yunis. To feed my family, I sold our car, the last thing we had left, just to put food in our children’s bellies and buy some basic necessities.

Now, we live in a tent, and the harsh winter is almost unbearable. Instead of running around and playing like every child should, my kids are worried—worried about when they will eat next, worried about how to stay warm. It breaks my heart to see them suffering like this. As the prices of food and basic needs keep rising, and with no end in sight to the violence around us, we’ve exhausted every little bit of savings we had and are left with no choice but to ask for help.

I’m asking you to open your hearts and help us survive. Anything you can give will go directly to keeping my family alive—buying food, warm clothes, and anything we need to endure this nightmare. We are just trying to achieve the bare minimum to live.

I’m pleading for your kindness. You are our hope, and with your help, we can fight for a better tomorrow for our children. Please, if you can, help us just to live another day.
