My name is Gregory Richard, and I'm writing this plea with a heavy heart. My wife, May Abonal Richard, is the most gentle, loving person I've ever known. As a teacher at Keaau High School and a dedicated member of Saint Joseph Church, she has given so much of herself to our community. Now, I'm asking for your help to support her in the fight of her life.

Just recently, our lives were turned upside down when May suffered a life-altering medical event. Funds raised will cover the cost of the ambulance ride to Hilo Benioff Medical Center, medivac to Queen's Medical Center on Oahu, and other hospital expenses. Expenses also include airfare travel from the Big Island to Oahu, household bills, which include utility bills, etc.

She has already gone through two major surgeries and is facing other hurdles associated with the surgeries. While she is fighting for her life in Honolulu, I'm here in Hilo, having to work to keep up with the overwhelming medical bills and expenses. It breaks my heart that I can't be by her side during this difficult time.

Our goal is simple: to raise enough money to cover these initial costs and ongoing medical bills so that I can be with my wife. Every donation, no matter how small, will help lift this financial burden and allow me to focus on what matters most—May's recovery.
