Ryan's Christmas for UCSF's Ch
Donation protected
Lets do this again for the 3nd year in a row!!!!!!!
In Honor of our son Ryan McGowan who spent most of his life at UCSF children's hospital we want to give back to the hospital that loved and cared and never gave up him. Ryan had countless major surgeries, daily blood transfusion, had life threatening species more times then we could Count. He was TPN Dependent, had intestinal failure, massive GI bleeding, constantly anemic, short gut syndrome, had no stomach, small intestines or colon. He had a hole in his neck to his esophagus to drain his saliva so he would not drowned in his own spit. He had no pancreas due to having hyperinsulinism then diabetes because they had to remove his pancreas. He hypertension, chronic pain, drain bags, bile bags and tubes coming from all over, all his medications were all IV and so much more.He had bags and pumps he had to take with him every where he went. He had 100's of procedures, but fought though it all with is awesome personality. He was a medical challenge to say the least.A challenge that was more then worth it. He was a true fighter with a smile that could light up the room or a grouchy face that could make you laugh. There were times you could walk into Ryan's room or see him out in about and you would not see most of the medical things, because his personally was 100x bigger then his illness. Ryan was not defined by his illness. Ryan was Ryan. A hero, and inspiration to anyone who met him. You could walk into Ryan's room and you could not help but smile. He touched more lives in his 4 short years then most do in 100. He was able to do this because of all of the wonderful staff at UCSF children’s hospital. Everyone went above and beyond for this hero.Child life was one of his many saving graces. He would not of been the happy child he was without the help of these wonderful people who were part of Ryan's everyday life.
We want to give back in honor of Ryan. That is exactly what Ryan would want us to do.
We want to help put smiles on children and their families while they stay at ucsf. This Christmas and Christmases to come we will give things that help children and families cope during a stressful time.
ALL MONEY WILL BE USED TO GET WHAT THE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL COULD USE.
I will post that list of things that the hospital is in need of soon.
Please help make this a successful year by donating to an Awesome hospital in honor of an even more awesome boy. Ryan Corey McGowan
