For those of you that follow me, you are aware that two weeks before Christmas, my employer fired me.

This was unannounced and without warning.

No severance.

No insurance.

Nothing.

Just as I was beginning to rebuild my life after a lengthy unemployment a year prior.

The company decided to go in a new direction and that direction didn’t include me or any of the other people in management.

I really loved my job and my team.

No restaurant is looking to hire until after the first of the year.

With no savings, no income, maxed out credit cards and no insurance, I am faced with the challenge of paying my bills and figuring out how to get my Insulin.

I have several prospects for employment, but nothing that will happen for at least two weeks and won’t provide income for at least a month.

Waiting on a decision about unemployment from the Delartment of Labor.

Asking for help isn’t easy…but this is where I am.
