Dave's Road to Recovery

On the evening of May 11th, 2025, my dad, Dave Fraizer, suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot in his brain—an event that nearly took his life. Thankfully, the loved ones he was with at the time recognized the signs of a stroke and immediately called 911. Because of their quick action, he was able to receive prompt medical care and is still with us today.

Once the blood clot was successfully removed, he spent the next 36 hours in the ICU under close monitoring. As of today, May 13th, he has not fully regained consciousness, so it’s still unclear how much brain damage may have occurred. He faces a long hospital stay ahead, followed by a challenging journey of rehabilitation and physical therapy.

Right now, my dad is in a coma-like state, but there have been encouraging signs that give me hope. He recognizes when I or others are by his side—he can open his eyes, look at me, squeeze my hand, move each limb, and he's even said one or two words. While these are all positive signs to me, the doctors won’t be able to assess the full extent of his injuries until he fully wakes up.

Everyone who knows my dad (Dave, David, or Fraizer to many) knows how incredibly strong he is, but this will be the toughest battle he’s ever faced. We’re asking for help from those who care about him to support his recovery. Contributions toward his medical bills—no matter the amount—will go directly to him and make a real difference. Even sharing this page would mean a lot.

I will keep this page updated with his progress for friends and family.

Thank you,
