Cori Wildeman Brain Health Run

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jeff Wildeman and I am out on a mission to raise money for my late mothers fund. Heres why. When I was 18 I lost my mom to suicide, now I know the first thought that pops into some peoples head is "how could she do that, to her kids, her husband, some people are out there fighting cancer to stay alive for their families." Well I understand this train of thought but my aim is to begin to change it. The world we live in today screams stress, and coping with it for someone who doesnt deal with mental health issues is sometimes a difficult task. So imagine if even the relaxing part of your day was filled with stress sadness and the thought of giving up. Depression can force people to places of no hope, and lives are lost at the cost of not knowing how to treat these problems sometimes. People fund cancer foundations due to the very evident, cancer cells killing the humans they reside in, there is a direct link. The funding of mental health is more grey than that, and sometimes it does not get the recognition it needs. So on october 25th, I am to raise 10,000 dollars by running a half marathon through the city of calgary and past the Childrens hospital. all the money will be donated to the Childrens hospital brain health fund, through the Cori Wildeman foundation. The money is used to help kids under 18 struggling with mental health issues including depression. Any donation is so greatly apprecaited. but I gotta start training, and knocking on doors for donations! Thank you for the Read!
