On October 20, 2022, Abbey received the most devastating news any woman or mother wants to hear, “You have breast cancer.” At that time, the biopsy showed it had spread from her breast to her lymph nodes. A PET scan was ordered and on October 28 it showed the cancer had spread to her liver and bones. Abbey was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Her world was shattered when she received the news. There is no cure for her type of cancer and she was told she has 6-12 months to live with treatment. Her oncologist is hopeful to give her more time. Depending on how she responds to treatment. Abbey is a single mom with twin 15 year old boys who are her world. She was a busy mom working two jobs and keeping up with her busy boys and their activities. Abbey is a fighter, strong in her faith and we are praying for a miracle.
