Gizelle's Battle - Stomach Cancer
Donation protected
This is my brave, strong and beautiful best friend Gizelle who was recently diagnosed with cancer,… January 26, to be exact. After further testing, she was told that it was stage 4 stomach cancer. Shock and disbelief followed. How can something like this happen? Needless to say her whole world has been turned upside down since then. She's a fighter and told the doctor "I'll do whatever it takes, let’s start treatment now." What she didn’t realize was that “treatment” consisted of the most aggressive chemotherapy treatment there is. Surgery was not an option, as the cancer has spread to many lymph nodes in her neck and abdomen. Her treatment has left her bedridden, unable to eat, nauseous, weak and exhausted. Leaving only a few days here and there where she can actually get out of bed.
She cannot work and is receiving less than $100 a week to support herself and young daughter. She needs help to stay afloat as an uncertain future lays ahead of her. So on top of the stress of her disease, she now has to worry about paying her bills.
Gizelle has always been a giver. So it is not in her nature to ask for help. She is blessed to have her sister Denise take care of her as she has no energy to get out of bed most days. Gizelle has received so much emotional support from her family, friends and co-workers, she is overwhelmed by the love they have shown.
Gizelle has always been the one to take care of others, now it's time we take care of her. I am asking for help from anyone who is able. If you could please consider a donation to help Gizelle, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount is a blessing and appreciated. Also, please also continue to keep her in your prayers.
If you follow her blog, you will see that she is always positive and optimistic, and reminding us to enjoy every minute of every day and “make it the best day ever”.
Thank you so much for the love and support you have shown her. If you prefer to give a donation directly to Gizelle and not go through GoFundMe, please send me a message and I will give you her mailing address. [email redacted]
