The hardest part about setting up this GoFundMe page is writing the story! No person should have deal with cancer at age 37; unfortunately, that IS Gabe's story. And no person has fought cancer with such grace, humor, and strength. By her side during this battle, David, Serrana and Quinn have been pillars of strength for their mom, who has always been that for them.
Although we met Gabe before she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in February 2013, we didn't know her well until after she had started treatment. Even during her treatment, Gabe has always been a bright light to be around, a smile on her face and usually something funny to say. So many of you who have known her longer likely have many more stories that could FILL pages. We have watched her go through surgeries, treatments, lose her hair, and have days where getting out of bed was the hardest part of the day, but she still got up and put on her mom hat! She and David have been private and humble and have asked for little help.
But now Gabe and David need our financial help! Gabe has started a new treatment that is not covered by insurance; even the treatments covered by insurance carry LOADS of out-of-pocket costs. This new treatment will cost up to $80,000 and that's the last thing we want the McLaughlins to worry about! Anything you can donate to help is very much appreciated! And on top of any donation you can make, please hold this family in your thoughts and prayers and send them love and strength while Gabe keeps fighting. We LOVE you Gabe, David, Serrana, and Quinn.
