Shawn's medical expenses

Sometimes bad things happen to really good people. Unfortunately, this is the case for two people I’ve known for years with larger than life hearts who live their lives for others but are struggling to make it as a result of a recent heroic act.
Last month Sue and Shawn witnessed a robbery at a local retailer. In response to an employee’s cry for help, Shawn ran to stop the suspect and was injured in the process. As a result, he required surgery on his arm and is looking at a 4 month recovery with physical therapy.
Prior to the incident, Shawn was thrilled about starting a new job and was working countless hours to provide for his family. Because of his injury, he was let go and is now unemployed. Sue works full time but can’t cover the monthly bills on her income alone and the medical bills are starting to roll in.
These two don’t ask for help, ever. As a friend, I will not sit on the sideline and watch them struggle. Every dollar matters and makes a difference so I'm asking you to help if you can.
Sue is willing to clean houses, pick up yards and babysit and is available on weekends.
We all need a little help at one point or another and it’s the goodness of people that pull us through. Shawn is a hero for putting himself in danger to protect others. Let’s take care of our heroes and help Shawn and Sue through this tough time.
Most importantly, they welcome your prayers and are so grateful for all your love and support.
