Help Mahmoud's Family Escape War-Torn Gaza
Our Story
Welcome everyone
My name is leyla aasri and I do this for a family in Gaza
My daughter fell on her head during the bombing and displacement. She developed a blood clot between her skull and scalp. Her head became swollen on the left side.
Every day, our lives are getting harder due to rising prices and the cold. We can’t even provide for the most basic needs. For example, the price of diapers for my daughter is more than 200 shekels, which is around 55 dollars. Your donation would help me treat my daughter.
My name is Mahmoud, and I am reaching out to you from central Gaza, where my family and I endure unimaginable hardships daily. We are a family of five: my wife, our two sons, and our daughter. Our dreams and aspirations have been shattered by the ongoing war, and our lives have been reduced to a struggle for survival.
Naseem's Critical Health Needs
Our son, Naseem, is just 10 years old but has faced more challenges than most will in a lifetime. He was born with a congenital heart defect, severe hearing loss, and distorted vision. Naseem has already undergone seven operations and requires a second heart surgery to repair a hole in his heart. Despite having access to treatment for his hearing, the relentless conflict has made it impossible to continue his care. Naseem is a fighter, battling daily for his life, but he urgently needs medical attention that is only available in Egypt.
Desperate Living Conditions
Our living conditions are dire. We reside in makeshift tents in Gaza, exposed to extreme cold without proper clothing. My daughter, a young child, needs milk and diapers, but we often struggle to find even the most basic necessities, including food. The constant bombings and war have left us in a state of perpetual terror. There is no access to adequate sanitation, education, or healthcare.
Our Hope for a Better Future
Our ultimate goal is to escape this nightmare and create a better life for ourselves outside Gaza. We dream of a place where we can live without fear, where our children can pursue their education and dreams without restrictions. We seek asylum across the Egyptian border, where Naseem can receive the medical treatment he desperately needs, and we can start anew.
The Financial Challenge
To cross the Egyptian border safely, each of us needs $5,000, amounting to a total of $25,000 for our family of five. This fee is beyond our means, especially after losing all our possessions in the war. We turn to you for support in this critical time of need. Your generosity can help us escape this genocide and build a future filled with promise and possibility in a safe and stable environment.
Your donations will directly facilitate our journey to safety, support our children's education, and meet our basic needs during this difficult period. Here is a breakdown of how the funds will be
