Liam is a happy and active 18-month-old. But before he's said his first word, he's already dealing with health problems beyond his age.
In the past couple months, he's developed severe anemia which resulted in a hospital admission and multiple blood transfusions. He was diagnosed with AML (leukemia).
While the doctors are currently investigating if there's a genetic reason for his anemia (since he's been found to have several minor birth defects as well), we are beginning his chemo journey to fight a quickly progressing cancer.
Liam is strong, very silly, full of personality, and he loves people. His smile lights up the room. His family is heartbroken over this diagnosis, but are hopeful that Seattle Children's team of doctors will have the best plan of treatment for him. He's already a favorite among the nurses at the hospital!
The family's paychecks are compromised from all the time off they have to take for appointments and caring for both their boys. Any donations will go toward Liam's extensive treatment and to help sustain his family through his hard time.
Thank you for anything that you can do!
