Hi, my name is Christina Johnson. I am from Milford CT. I’m a single mom to a beautiful 8 year old girl, and I’m asking for help to keep a roof over our heads until May.
After 10 years of mental and physical abuse, I finally found the courage to leave a domestic violence situation and start a new life for my daughter and me. I’ve been doing everything I can, but because of the government shutdown, I haven’t been able to get help from DSS or the courts. I can’t even move forward with my protection order or child support case right now because I haven’t been able to locate my child’s father to serve him.
My rent is $3,000 a month, and without help, my daughter and I could lose our home. This is the only place she knows. I need help covering rent until May 2026.
I’m working closely with my landlord to stay month-to-month until we can move, and I’m doing everything possible to get back on my feet.
If you can help us,with any amount, it would mean the world. You’d be helping a mom who’s fighting to give her daughter safety, stability, and peace after years of fear.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, sharing, and supporting us. ❤️
With love,
Christina & Bella
Hi everyone, I wanted to share an important update and be completely transparent about what has been happening.
Recently, my landlord was preparing to evict me because I was late on my November 1st rent. In a moment of desperation, he reached out to my daughter’s father without telling me. By the grace of God, her father ended up paying the rent for November 1 to December 1, which was something he was originally supposed to do, but had not done until now.
This was very unexpected, and I truly thought I was going to be able to cover December’s rent on my own. When that became impossible, that’s when I reached out for help here. Now that November’s rent has been covered, anything that is donated will go directly toward the upcoming month’s rent and keeping a stable home for my daughter.
I also want to share that I may have a potential roommate moving in soon. If she does move in, I will no longer need to continue this GoFundMe, and I will work hard to manage everything on my own. But if she isn’t able to move in, I will still need help to get through the next few months.
I appreciate every single person who has read, shared, donated, or sent prayers and encouragement. Your support means more to us than you will ever know. ❤️
Thank you for letting me update you and for standing with us during one of the hardest times of our lives.
Christina
