Help Build Batting Cages for Northwoods Ballfields! ⚾️
As a 501(c)(3) organization, all donations can be tax deductible according to your tax rules.
The Hutchinson Junior League Baseball Association (HJLBA) is raising funds to build new batting cages at Northwoods Ballfields — a much-needed improvement that will help more than 150 local youth baseball players practice safely and develop their skills.
Why This Project Matters
Baseball is about more than just the game. It’s about teamwork, discipline, and confidence. The HJLBA provides structured opportunities for youth ages 8–14 to grow through baseball, both on and off the field. Northwoods Park is home to two fields used by Hutchinson Middle School and Hutchinson Junior League Baseball, but there’s currently no safe way to hold batting practice.
Adding batting cages will:
- Provide a safe, enclosed space for players to hit and train
- Allow multiple teams to practice efficiently at once
- Help kids build skills, confidence, and sportsmanship
Our Goal
We need to raise $35,000+ to build the cages. By partnering with local suppliers and using volunteer labor, we’re cutting costs while ensuring a high-quality, durable setup that meets city standards. Every dollar brings us closer to giving Hutchinson’s youth the facilities they deserve. Dollars raised over this amount will be used for other field improvement projects.
