My students need your help so they can enjoy the once in a life time experience by attending their 8th grade Washington DC trip.

My students are hardworking, determined and eager to venture out into the world. There are some students who would love the opportunity to go on the Washington DC trip but unfortunately are not in the financial position to do so. Our district is recognized as a medium to high poverty district and receives federal funds through the Title One Program.

Your donations will provide a select number of students to attend their 8th grade Washington DC trip. They will be able to see and experience the material we learn inside the classroom in a hands-on once in a lifetime experience! They will travel back in time and visit Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg, have the opportunity to see the monuments of great historical figures such as Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr., pay respect to our veterans and the fallen soldiers at the Vietnam, Korean and World War II memorials. In addition, we will visit Mount Vernon, the estate of our first President George Washington, Arlington National Cemetery and tour the U.S. Capitol Building.

This once in a lifetime experience will allow students to see and witness America's history that some will only experience by reading a textbook!
