Hi! I'm Genna B. and I'm a pediatric nurse in Spokane, Washington. Most importantly I am a child of the King of kings, Jesus Christ, and my desire is to live for and serve Him. Around the age of three God gave me the dream of being a nurse and He made all that possible. I've been an RN for four years, the last two in pediatrics, and would not change this calling regardless of the crazy hours and missed times with loved ones. Long before high school God began putting medical missions on my heart and the desire to serve as the hands, feet, and heart of Christ in areas desperately in need of medical care continues to grow. The idea of medical missions has been on my heart for years, but now is the time for action!
In October 2016 I will be traveling to Haiti for just under two weeks to serve as a nurse with the organization Real Hope for Haiti. I will be flying out of Spokane on October 13 and flying out of Haiti on the 24th. Presently I am in the process of raising funds for this adventure. The funds I raise will cover airfare from Spokane to Port au Prince, insurance, immunizations, room and board while at RHFH, a translator, and will allow me to bring needed medical supplies to the RHFH clinic and rescue center. Any funds in excess of those needed to get me to and from Haiti and for my stay there will be used to support the ministry of RHFH. I would appreciate it if funds could be provided before October 1, 2016. I serve a Awesome God and I know He will make this trip possible in whatever amazing way He sees fit to supply funds.
This medical missions trip means so much to me. I get to work with kids and their families every week and it is a rewarding experience. But when I see the faces of these kids in Haiti my heart breaks for them. They need medical care but most importantly they need to feel the love of Jesus and come to know Him.
Your support of this trip through prayers and financially is such a blessing. Each prayer, each dollar is making a Kingdom difference and words cannot even begin to express the awesomeness of that! Thank you!
