Hola, soy Claudia, tengo 37 años y soy madre de dos hijos maravillosos, uno de ellos con autismo. La enseñanza ha sido mi vocación y pasión; por más de 15 años he dedicado mi vida a educar y guiar a jóvenes en secundaria, he tenido la oportunidad de colaborar con decenas de fundaciones en Cancún, así como enseñar a cientos de alumnos de secundaria.

Sin embargo, hoy enfrento uno de los mayores desafíos de mi vida.

Hace dos años, sufrí un accidente en mi mano derecha que requirió dos cirugías para reconstruir mi tendón y salvar la movilidad. Lamentablemente, las intervenciones no fueron exitosas y los nervios de mi mano quedaron severamente dañados, afectando mi calidad de vida y mi capacidad para trabajar.

En febrero de 2025, en el Hospital de la Raza en CDMX, fui diagnosticada con Distrofia Simpática Refleja (DSR), una condición neurológica dolorosa y debilitante. Desde entonces, mi día a día ha cambiado por completo:

-Vivo con dolor constante, mis dedos tiemblan, mi mano se paraliza y los movimientos más simples se han vuelto difíciles.

-Los medicamentos afectan mi concentración y memoria, lo que me impide hacer lo que más amo: dar clases y estar plenamente presente para mis hijos.

-El pronóstico es incierto, pero sé que sin el tratamiento adecuado, la enfermedad podría avanzar hasta una pérdida total de la función de mi brazo derecho.

Para seguir adelante, necesito acceso a especialistas que no hay en mi ciudad, así como medicamentos costosos, sesiones de fisioterapia y rehabilitación, además de los gastos legales que estamos enfrentando para exigir justicia por la negligencia que causó esta condición.

Hello, my name is Claudia, I’m 37 years old, and I’m the mother of two wonderful children, one of whom has autism. Teaching has been my passion and vocation; for over 15 years, I have dedicated my life to educating and guiding junior high students. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with dozens of foundations in Cancún and teach hundreds of students.

However, today I am facing one of the greatest challenges of my life.

Two years ago, I suffered an accident in my right hand that required two surgeries to reconstruct my tendon and preserve mobility. Unfortunately, the procedures were unsuccessful, and the nerves in my hand were severely damaged, affecting my quality of life and ability to work.

In February 2025, at Hospital de la Raza in Mexico City, I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a painful and debilitating neurological condition. Since then, my daily life has changed completely:

I live with constant pain, my fingers tremble, my hand becomes paralyzed, and even the simplest movements have become difficult.

The medications affect my concentration and memory, preventing me from doing what I love most: teaching and being fully present for my children.

The prognosis is uncertain, but I know that without proper treatment, the disease could progress to total loss of function in my right arm.

To move forward, I need access to specialists who are not available in my city, as well as costly medications, physical therapy, and rehabilitation. In addition, we are facing legal expenses as we fight for justice regarding the negligence that caused this condition.
