Service Dog For Function

Hello! My name is Oli. I am 19 years old and a college sophomore studying psychology. At age six I was diagnosed with OCD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. When I was fourteen I was diagnosed with severe post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, panic disorder and trichotillomania. This past year I have been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. It has been recommended to me since I was a child that I should consider getting a service dog to assist me and create more independence for myself. The recommendation became more pressing after I was diagnosed with severe PTSD. I have flashbacks that prevent me from sleeping, panic attacks that constantly interrupt my day and states of dissociation that cause me to lose time from my days that I will never get back. A service dog would help me by interrupting my dissociative states, panic and anxiety attacks, meltdowns, and unintentional self harming such as hair pulling. They would also be able to retrieve my medication for me, wake me up during nightmares, ground me during flashbacks and perform deep pressure therapy to calm me and ground me during different episodes. A service dog would be able to assist me in ways that would allow me to independently function. Independent and uninterrupted functioning is something that many young adults and even adults take for granted. This is a level of freedom and independence that I am unlikely to be able to achieve without a service dog. I have been to four different treatment centers in five years for my struggles and have utilized countless therapeutic and medical interventions all with little success. A service dog would truly be my opportunity to lead an independent, uninterrupted, functioning, happy and healthy life.
Unlike a traditional pet adoption, service dogs are highly trained to assist the individual they are assigned to be a team with, and as a result are extremely costly. That is why I am coming to you to ask for your help. All proceeds I raise will go directly to the fee of obtaining a service dog, costs during training camp, and gear needed to keep the service dog healthy and functioning. Currently I am going through an organization in Pennsylvania to be paired with a fully trained dog the price of which my fundraising goal is based off of.
Full list of tasks my dog will be trained to do to assist me are as follows:
Deep pressure therapy
Light pressure therapy
Medication retrieval
Waking up in the mornings
