For the past six years, my father has been relentlessly trying to take my daughter from me. It has been the most painful and challenging time of my life. He has involved DCF, offered my daughter’s father $50,000 in exchange for Kylee, and most recently filed a motion for temporary custody.

Without me being present, the judge granted my father temporary custody of my daughter, Kylee, based solely on his statements. In his petition, he falsely claimed to be her primary caregiver—an outright lie. He has never been left alone with her, not once. He also failed to mention two crucial facts: there is a no-contact order between us, and my daughter’s father was previously granted a restraining order against my father.

Since Kylee’s dad, JT, passed away in September, I’ve been fighting this battle on my own. As a single mother, I am now facing the full force of my father’s threats to keep me tied up in court until I’m financially ruined. That’s why I’m humbly reaching out for help.

Until now, I had never gone a day without speaking to Kylee. Since the court order, my father has gone weeks without allowing me contact with her. When I do get to speak with her, it’s limited to just 15 minutes, three times a week.

Kylee has already lost her father. She shouldn’t have to feel abandoned by her mother too—especially when I’m doing everything I can to bring her home.

I’ve spoken with an attorney who is ready to take on my case, but the retainer fee is $4,500. I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for any support you can give. Kylee is my everything, and I just want to protect her and bring her back where she belongs.
